The Dos and Don’ts of

Botox

Injectables are the trend in medical aesthetics right now, and for a good reason. Do – Find an Expert.

Make sure you take the time to discuss any questions you have about the treatment with your provider. A good provider understands how BOTOX® works and makes sure you are getting the most out of your treatment. Do not settle for less professional treatment due to cost.

DO – Be Patient.

It can be tempting to think your provider didn’t give you enough because you don’t see the results that you want. However, it is essential to remember that, in general, it can take 7-14 days to see the full results.

Don’t – get any other skincare procedures done

BOTOX® needs time to set. So it is not recommended to have any facial procedures completed until at least two weeks post the procedure. If you get routine facials or face treatments that would include massaging the skin, plan to have it completed before your BOTOX® appt.

Don’t – Self Medicate

If you are not familiar with BOTOX® and fear it could be a painful procedure, do not take any medications before help with pain or discomfort. Any blood thinning medications will increase the risk of bruising from the treatment. BOTOX® is not a painful procedure. Our staff makes sure we minimize any discomfort during your treatment with ice packs or topical creams.
